[MR] Highland River Melees - Brewing & Bar

First of all, it gives me great personal sadness, to announce the
winner(s) of the brewing competitions at Highland River Melees this year.

For the Populace competition, the winning group, was Ponte Alto, who all
will have to admit, won by a landslide, nearly 50% of the entries in the
populace competition, were from Ponte Alto.   (Highland Foorde, let's
step it up next year!)

For the BvBvB competition, the winner, was Baroness Sorcha of Storvik.
 In later consultation, his Excellency Drogo of Ponte Alto, and myself,
still feel that there must have been a mathematical error in the
judging, and are holding to that thin thread.

However, during court, her Excellency did in fact cast down the prize
glove that had been presented to her as a challenge to repeat the
competition next year.  I attempted to pick up the glove, but Drogo
would not let me do so alone, so we together accepted her challenge,
that next year, at Highland River Melees, the competition would be
enjoined again.

(And, the Open Bar!)

Speaking of the open bar.  I have sad news to report.  Atlantia was not
able to step up to the challenge.  In final count, 95 gallons of beer,
cider, mead, and wine were brought forth to be served at the bar.

And far, far too much of it was brought back undrunk.  There were 4
entire kegs of beer not even tapped yet, and not a single keg was kicked.

Atlantia, we must keep this secret well, lest other kingdoms mock us.
Based upon the 300-ish attendance, every person only needed to consume
1/3rd of a gallon.  Was that too much to ask?  Maybe 1/2 gallon once you
remove all those under age.

Vivant to Ponte Alto for winning the populace competition, Vivat to
Sorcha, for winning the BvBvB, and Vivant to all the brewers, who made
us have an embarrassing large amount of brew available.

(I mean really, 95 gallons?  WOW)

Until next year, when we repeat the experiment.  You have been warned.
