Greetings!

Just a reminder that there will be a Library Corner at Summer University.

For those who will be visiting the library there will be an area set
aside for bags or purses and baskets. But you will need to take care
of or dispose of any food or drink prior to entering the room. There
will be a small media center set up for scanning (no printing) so
please bring your own thumb drive to transfer the files. You may also
bring a camera or use your phone to snap pictures of pages or covers
of books as well. There will be pencils (please no pens or markers)
and paper available for use to take notes but you may bring your own
as supplies will be limited.

For those who plan to bring books here are details of what to do
BEFORE you arrive at the event. Doing these few steps will speed up
the process of checking in/out your books in a timely fashion.

1) Make a list of all the books you are bringing for use in the
Library (either legibly handwritten or computer printed). The list
will serve as an inventory sheet and will be used for checking in your
books. It will stay in a folder during the day until you are ready to
check your books.

2) The process for identifying each of your books as your property
will be exactly like Library Corner was at KASF. If you have your
books "ribboned" already then there your job is done! For those who
are not familiar here is what I need you to do _prior_ to the event.
Acquire ribbon of any color (such as the kind you use for gift
wrapping or the curling ribbon type) and some labels (Avery address
labels work fine). Take the ribbon and cut a length that will wrap
around the spine of the book. Imagine a long bookmark with the ends
tied together forming a loop around and through the book. Next you
will take your labels, one for each book, and write your name on them
(sca, modern or both). Attach the label by folding it in half around
the ribbon that is on the outside of the book.

Thank you everyone and I am excited to see what books will be in the library!
