[MR] Personas in the SCA

"[the] charge is that there isnt a way to tell someone they are doing something
wrong.  i disagree."

Exactly.  Ans as someone just now transitioning from newcomer to a service
role in the SCA, starting my 5th year (Northern. Shire. Archer,  so I "evolve" a
bit slower in the SCA than most)  I still find SCA events too eclectic.  Its
more than enough for me to grasp all the different cultures we allow in the
SCA. And to balance it all.

I once teased a  Japaneese persona (taunting a friend) as to what he was doing
in Europe. He shamed me with a very creative and educational background story,
reminding me that I REALLY need to put more time and energy into learning about
the time period my own persona has adopted.  But I feel that we already
allow enough "unique" personas, and expanding the time frame is too much.

This is a case were the enforcement of boundries is welcome.

Cheers
Fen
