I agree. Also folks forget about humidity. I have a canopy over my bed made of
sunforger, the visible edge is trimmed in cotton velvet. I also have bed
curtains and hanging wall curtains. All the extra fabric hanging around helps
immensely with the humidity (gee, you think that might have been a factor in
period? lol) but I STILL keep rubbermaid tubs for anything that moisture may be
an issue for. Those are kept behind the curtains and under the bed. :)

Another common misconception is that a tent is going to be 100%
waterproof. Unless you're camping in a plastic tub, that's just not
going to be possible. Some moisture is going to get into (or out of)
any tent, no matter what it's made of. If tents were 100% waterproof
we'd live in them year-round, since they're a heck of a lot cheaper
than houses. :)
I make sure to keep anything moisture sensitive covered (like musical
instruments, essential electronics, etc) when I'm not actively using
them. One lady I know has an extra canvas tarp that she puts over her
bed as a duvet so as not to go to bed with humidity dampened bedding
at night.
