Good point, Stefan!

Yes, Ansteorra is full of Peers who only don headgear in Court.  Maybe 
it's because the darn things heat up so much in the sun?  Interesting 
concept.  Having lived in both Kingdoms, I do see coronets a good deal 
more frequently here in Atlantia.  Of course, folks don't get broiled at 
events 10 months of the year, either.  And, this Kingdom is a Childe of 
The East, not of Atenveld's wild west traditions, although how much that 
affects the situation I'm not certain.

Actions always speak louder than words.  The display of peer-like 
behavior should (ugh, that word again) be the goal of us all...as long 
as it's the good side of Peer behavior.

Re sumptuary laws: there is a story on record of a certain Doge of 
Venice who, faced with the arrival of the French Ambassador (or whatever 
they were called then, translations are difficult) ORDERED the women of 
Venice to wear all their illegal finery!  Not that any of those 
law-abiding ladies had any, of course (harrummmph!!).
