Registration for the Persona Pentathlon, the Youth Triathlon, general Open 
Display, and many other competitions can now be acomplished on the internet!!  
Just navigate to:
http://www.tirydon.atlantia.sca.org/events/KASF/Form/
and fill out the form.  You must fill it out once for each activity you wish to 
participate in.  (If your offspring is entering the Youth Triathlon, please fill 
out the form for them, or assist them on the computer.)

Why should you register?  Because you are then GUARANTEED table space, and any 
special needs or difficulties can be addressed in advance.  It's also a courtesy 
to those running the event and/or competitions so that we know approximately how 
many people to plan for.

So if you want to be part of the Open Display, or if you wish to compete in 
the:  Persona Pentathlon, Youth Triathlon, A&S 50, Inter-Baronial Championship, 
the Duke Gyrth Oldcastle Memorial Smackdown, Royal Baker, Royal Brewer, or if 
you wish to be a Performer, please, please, please, follow the link above and 
register.

One last note:  It now lacks five days until we reach the deadline for Research 
Papers for the Pentathlon or Triathlon.  If you are even thinking of entering a 
research paper, please either follow the link above to register, or e-mail me at 
jeanmaire9 at yahoo.com.  Especially if you are working on a research paper, and 
think that you might miss the deadline - please e-mail me.

Unto the Populace of the Kingdom of Atlantia,

First, please feel free to cross-post this to any group that may be interested.

It now lacks but three short weeks before the Kingdom Arts & Sciences Festival, 
on February 5th. Accordingly, the Persona Pentathlon and the Youth Triathlon are 
now open for pre-registration.  

Anyone interested in competing is encouraged to write me, at 
jeanmaire9 at yahoo.com , to pre-register.  Pre-registration is not essential to 
enter, but it will make it possible for me to set up a folder with the proper 
forms prior to the event, and that will make both our days more pleasant. 
 Please include your SCA and mundane names, the SCA group that you belong to, 
plus a list of  your five (or three) entries for the Pentathlon (or the Youth 
Triathlon).  For each entry please send a short description, plus the Category 
and Subcategory it should be judged under.  For a list of the categories and 
subcategories, you can access the Registration Form, at:

Anyone entering is also encouraged to  peruse the judging forms for the 
Pentathlon and Triathlon, that you may be better prepared to earn all those 
extra points.  The forms are in the highlighted section at the bottom of the 
page, at:  http://moas.atlantia.sca.org/forms/

Remember, also, that if you are planning on entering a Research Paper (Category 
V) as one of your five (or three) articles, it must be submitted early in order 
to give time for it to be properly judged.  Therefore, all research papers are 
due by midnight on January 25th.  If you bring a research paper with you on the 
day of KASF, it will NOT be  accepted.

P.S.  As a reminder:  The Pentathlon in Persona is a yearly competition held at 
Kingdom A&S Festival.  To enter you must be 18 or older, and produce 5 entries 
all tied to a single persona.  The persona can be your own, or it can be someone 
entirely different. However, the entries  must cover at least 3 of the five 
categories, as outlined on the registration form (see link above).  To enter the 
Youth Triathlon, you must be 17 or younger, and produce 3 entries, also tied to 
a single persona, and covering 2 of the five categories.
