Greetings to the Barony from Chirhart Blackstar & Jeanne Tenneur de Bec, Baron & Baroness of Bright Hills!

We hope that everyone enjoyed the Baronial Birthday and Investiture event. It was a beautiful day! The event was well attended. There were many activities to enjoy and, as always, a sumptuous feast was provided! Once again we demonstrated that it is "Always the Best from Bright Hills!"

We want to thank everyone who worked so hard, and contributed to a successful day. In particular, we would like to recognize the following:

To the autocrat, Lady Katarzyna, thank you for taking on the challenge of autocrating this event, and making it a success. We have heard nothing but positive comments about the day. You and your staff demonstrated the best of the barony.

To Baroness Martelle, thank you for your support and assistance to ensure a smooth transition. We shall strive to uphold the standard of excellence you have established.

To the Cooks Guild of Bright Hills, thank you for once again feeding the barony into submission! Thanks go to Mistress Cordelia for planning a wondrous feast and to all those who worked so hard preparing it (especially Lady Maeve, Lord Bruce, Lord Seamus, Jacob, Countess Rowan, and the rest of the Bright Hills Cooks Guild and friends who traveled far, including Baron Borgar the Bright and Baroness Lourene). As always, the presentation of the dishes equaled the taste.

To our Baronial Cousins - Baron William and Baroness Sorcha of Storvik, Baron Seigfried and Baroness Francesca of Highland Foorde, Baron Galmr and Baroness Eydis of Lochmere, and Baron Drogo and Baroness Adina of Ponte Alto - thank you for gracing the day with your presence. We were honored to welcome you.

Thanks belong to our heralds - Lady Wynne, Lord Philipp, and Lady Alexandria - for organizing the ceremonies and courts, and and keeping the populace informed.

To the musicians and bards of PAGE, thank you for sharing your talent and skill with us and providing music throughout the day (although we still need to talk about those "other" bards......). We will be asking for more!

Thank you to the Populace of the Barony for coming out to celebrate the Barony's 17th birthday and our investiture. Thank you for bringing your wonderful arts and sciences for competition and for display. Thank you for the enthusiastic bardic bear pit that entertained so many!

Thank you to Their Royal Majesties of Atlantia, Bryan and Brianna, for bringing such grace and generosity to our barony, and for granting recognition, in some cases long overdue, to members of our populace. Your example of courtesy and chivalry inspires us all.

We thank you all for a perfect day. We know that there are many others who also contributed and we apologize for any oversight.

As Baroness Martelle said when she stepped down, this barony is more than any baron and/or baroness. It is all of you - from the artisans who do their research and take on new projects and the fighters who test their mettle on the list field to the officers who attend to the business of the barony so that everyone can enjoy events and activities.  We encourage you to try something new and step out to take on a challenge and make your own history!

In service, we are

Chirhart Blackstar and Jeanne Tenneur de Bec
Baron & Baroness of Bright Hills
