The Barony of Highland Foorde Moose Tale Collegium will be here in just
over two months. Now would be a great time to make plans to join us on
our journey to expand our knowledge. We are planning a wide array of
classes and would love for you to join us in Hagerstown, Maryland.
One class, which will take some preparation, and is well worth it, is
Sashiko, or Japanese quilting. The origination of this art form comes
from fisherman's wives, who would make coats for their husbands out of
many layers of silk scraps. As parts of the coats would become worn,
they would add more layers of silk, which would never be quite the same
as the layer below. The result would be a beautiful coat with many
different patterns.
To see what supplies are needed for this class, please check out our web
site at http://highland-foorde.atlantia.sca.org/collegium.php
