im curious, if these folks who give you that look feel the need to question
you why, on earth, are they keeping up with it?  sure the merry rose has the
occasional melodrama.  its the sca after all.  but its rare and ignorable.
im just baffled by folks who would claim to dislike something yet still keep
tabs on it.

and dont worry about being vilified by misinformed people.  it happens all
the time.  unfortunately lots of people prefer to assume the worst and look
for insult.  rarely do they ever ask questions before doing either.  ;^)

Indeed Merry Rose DOES have a bad reputation in other kingdoms. Which is not
what should be. I've so often gotten the "why ever do you read that trash?"
look or query that I no longer admit publicly at Pennsic or other events
that I look at the site.
 
I do read occasionally, just to see what is going on. Mostly I dump it
without reading. 
 
Only once have I posted. I was so vilified by people who should know better
that until now I have not posted again. Incidentally, their information was
wrong. 
 
I agree that the site would be much more pleasant if the behavior matched
the original SCA Ideals.
 
I took out all the previous discussion because emails should be trimmed.
