[MR] What excited you at Pennsic?

While the unusually cool weather was a real blessing in my book, I
enjoyed a lot of other things:
I camped for the first time at Handicap Camp. I was nervous...knew no
one, wasn't sure I'd be welcome. To my surprise, the group welcomed me
happily and I came home with several new friends in various kingdoms to
write to this year.
Classes I got to take were huge fun. Some I took because they're 'in my
world' and I wanted to see someone else teach the subject...and I
learned from them! Others I took to learn new things, and I came away
with wonderful handouts, techniques, and ideas.
The one day I got to see the A&S exhibit, two devotees of my own
favorite art form displayed their work. What a treat! As usual, that
exhibit was overwhelming, with all the forms represented, all the
artisans, all the information.
The labrynths all over the camp. None were large enough for me to do in
my chair, but I really enjoyed seeing them in all their various layouts
and meanings. They were there last year, too!
Oh, those hang-gliders....First one, then another, then yet another!
They followed several small planes who overflew us a few days earlier,
one of them so low we could almost see the color of the pilot's eyes!
Service... well, that was fun. I got to follow Atlantia's Princess for
a few hours, and then our Queen. And then teach CPR and First Aid. I
like service! I made a few 'leeches' for the Chirurgeonate. Mind, now,
I was worrying about this task, as it was assigned the night before we
needed them. I brought the stuff back to camp to begin work, and before
long I was surrounded by campmates/new friends clamoring to help! We
made a dozen Scribe's leeches and one huge glow-in-the-dark one for the
EMS team, with beaded eyes and all.

Went to Ansteorra's Chili Party, combined with Trimaris' Hurricane
Night, and although I couldn't have a hurricane (drat...I really wanted
that little light-up toy - grin), it was certainly fun.
Went to the Chirurgeon's Party too. Goodness, what a party girl I'm
turning into! It was fun to march down to Calontir and stir up a little
fun for Owain!
