Heh, in Raleigh on WRAL they had a breaking news comment asking people to stop calling 911 for information.  Guess people were flooding the lines asking what happened.

Some power outages in Charlottesville (just over Caer G's western border in 
Isenfir.) Also, cell phones in Caer G are all but useless currently. Makes me 
glad I hadn't I didn't get rid of the land line - I wouldn't have been able to 
check on my elderly mom without it. Many banks in the area shutting down at 3 to 
have time to go over the buildings and make sure everything is OK. 911 was down 
in the area for about 45 minutes.
