Grin, my sympathies, Lord Mungo. The only other quake I've experienced was a magnitude 2.3 a couple of years ago that was as much heard as felt. This one was quite a ride! Haven't heard of any damage yet, praise the deity of your choice...

I returned to the library to find all my co-workers milling about in the parking lot and very disturbed. No apparent damage here, but My Lady Sarah called me just after I got back in. Apparently phone service was disrupted and she had a hard time getting through. While we were talking a fire alarm went off at her office. Maybe an aftershock.

The admiral's secretary went into a panic every time her potted plants swayed, which is pretty often in Southern California. We always knew when there was an earthquake, even if we didn't feel it.
