In my own experience -- everyone's mileage can certainly vary! -- if the royalty is present at the event, they often award all of the archery badges themselves. Which is a good and joyful thing. I wasn't at the event in question myself, so I don't know who, after the court on the archery range, would have had a copy of the list of awardees. I'd hope that the royalty and the court herald would get a copy of that list, but on a busy day that is too easily forgotten, and we have to go back later and find out who has the list. I'm posting this in large part as a reminder to myself and to other heralds that it's a LOT easier to grab such lists at the event and not afterwards.

> If I may take a small moment to beg Heralds to make note of who makes those beautiful scrolls that are handed out at courts...

Seconded!! The names of those who prepared a scroll are supposed to be supplied to the Clerk of the Signet as part of the "dry" court report. I, for one, enjoy seeing those good gentles honored in the more narrative court reports sent to the Merry Rose; I also like to see them honored aloud DURING court, and encourage court heralds to uphold that tradition as much as possible.
