I would recommend a branch consider where the Kingdom event is being held,
which one it is and what maybe occuring at the event.
If the event is close by, it would probably be best if the branch
didn't have a competing activity.
If the event is in the same region or even far away but the activities
at the event or the event itself is of great interest to a large section of
the branch's populace then I would say the branch shouldn't have a competing
activity.
Ultimately it is up the local populace and what they are going to do. I
remember the last time KASF was held in Bright Hills, several us from
Charlesbury Crossing traveled the 10 hrs up to the event because we wanted
to go, but Charlesbury still held the A&S & fighter practice day they had
planned. However, our branch has in the past canceled or rescheduled demos
and local branch activities when a majority of the populace is planning on
attending an event regardless of where the event is located.
To me this is the basic calendar planning a branch would go through whenever
they chose undertake an activity.
