[MR] suggestion for helping daytrip fees

I agree that most of the cost of an event in travel.  Smaller, local 
events are great.  They give a different ambiance and can focus on 
various specific interests.  But each event budget has got to work in 
the real world.  Many local groups cannot afford to lose money, either.  
There has to be a balance.
