JSTOR is one of several academic databases. Most colleges and universities have access to academic resources that are only available to the general public for a (sometimes substantial) fee.

PS- I chose to mention JSTOR because it tends to be very comprehensive and is one that often appears in Google searches. (Plus _I_ like using it the best, hahaha)
