I'm helping a friend research his persona. He is a musician in real
life and plays in a Balkan band. He wants to be a late period (more
music sources) wandering musician of Balkan origin (Southern Eastern
Europe). I started researching this. Boy, I thought Fatamid Egypt was
a dark hole! I am primarily interested in costuming at this point. He
would have some upper class and showy stuff for performances, but mostly
middle class to poor.

Any help you can give me that's in English or even has lots of pictures
would be appreciated.
