Greetings to the Tavern,

I would beg a moment to bend your ear to speak of things happening at
the manor near Troyes of our beloved Baroness Martelle von Charlottenburg.
That you should hopefully come prepared to enjoy a day of fine shooting,
Rapier and Heavy weapons combat, for surely we shall have all of these to
tempt your martial spirit.

However, in the spirit of the things which Her Excellency offers to
honor Duke Phillip of Burgundy, may I make so bold as to encourage you to
bring your dancing slippers, your artistic imaginations and even a touch of
theatrical fun. For not only will we be choosing all but our Equestrian
Champions this day, we shall offer such contests to amuse our guests as a
Mask making competiton - one for Adults and one for Children - with all
supplies on hand for your use. In honor of the Dukes love of finery and
dance we offer a Masked Ball following feast and the adult winners of the
mask competition should be prepared to lead the first dance. For those with
a fine hand we offer a Scroll competition sponsored by Master Tristan
Alexander. While the scrolls may be of any theme, our judges will likely
lean favorably to those that include Burgundian styled aspects. Not handy
with pen or brush? Perhaps the Best Burgundian Garb competition might tempt
you. Entrys should be worn during the activities. We'll supply you with a
wearable token to denote you are competing.

Thus, I encourage you to come and join us as we enjoy the last of the
good days before Winter sets in.

Done this 24th of August, by my hand,

Chagan Khulan

MoAS of Bright Hills
