[MR] Period Paint with Eggs?

Thank you for your suggestions.  The children will be wearing covers/smocks
over their garb to protect it from the activity.  It is my intent give them
a brief introduction to period paint and to allow the kids an opportunity to
mix their own paint (with the base being pre-made.)  The kids have seem to
have more fun when they are able to do an activity as independently as
possible; that is why I wanted to let them add the "pigment" and why I want
to avoid using food coloring.  As food coloring is very strong and stains
your hands quickly.

I will do that Google search and thank you again for your input.
