[MR] A&S Competition at the Storvik/Dun Carraig event June 19 - 21

Good Gentles All,
At the joint Novice Tourney/Challenge of the Heart event that Storvik and
Dun Carraig are presenting, I am hosting a competition for the best
favor...any medium, documentation optional.  The competition will be judged
by the populace, each vote will cost $1, which will be placed in a bowl in
front of the favor.  The favor with the most votes will win the
competition.  The prize for the winner will be a reproduction copy (in
German) of the *Codex Manesse*.  This is a 14th century book of poetry, with
illustrations of the various poets represented.  The illuminations depict
the poet, frequently with their armorial display, so it has been a reference
book for heralds, not to mention wonderful primary documentation for garb.
It is ranked among the best of the 14th century manuscripts.

The money collected for the votes will be donated, in its entirety, to
the American
Cancer Society's Relay for Life of Calvert
