i think you misunderstood or your friend is confused. peerages are not
kingdom things, they are societal. currently there is no peerage
specifically for rapier although there have been quite a few rapier fighters
recognized by the laurel. rapier fighters, like anyone else, can take on
students in a formal way. the chivalry usually refer to these students as
squires and rapier fighters as cadets. this isnt a result of a peerage but,
rather, two people entering a formal teacher student relationship and
applying "titles" to it.

Sorry if this is a duplicate.
According to a friend of mine in Ansteorra, they have a peerage for rapier
and a cadet program much the same as the Knights have a Squire program. They
are not the only ones who do this.
West, Outland, Northshield, Ansteorra, Midrealms all have Dons. This being
said, why can't we even consider having a peerage for Atlantia? I am not a
rapier fighter but it makes sense.
