[MR] 4th Peerage

 I am not a peer but I am a SCAdian. I have been playing for a mere 4 years but I have learned that without all of us playing together NO ONE would have any rank in anything! It takes all of us to play this game and with out the "non-peers" to honor them and to help make this "Dream" come alive they would be no better then they are in the mundane world. What does it take to become a peer? From what I can tell it takes the acknowledgement of others. If the rest of us choose to ignore the peers there would be no peers. I do feel that there should be more chances for non-peers to be elevated to the peerage but at the same time I think the peerage gives the rest of us a goal to shoot for. Plain and simple if all of us playing this game didn't agree to the rules we would have no awards and no ranks. That is not to say the rules are perfect but as they are they have worked for over forty years and if there is a change to be made we must all agree on it. Now
 the big problem is finding some changes we can agree on society wide!
