Vels thank you for your response but allow me to reinforce my point. The
Society for Creative Anachronism recognizes rapier (among many other
things) as activities of the society. Many groups don't have Siege
Engines, that doesn't make them any less a part of Pennsic or Gulf Wars
(I have nightmares about Gulf Wars archers from time to time :-P ). My
point is that; Primary, Ancillary, Mandated or merely Tolerated: these
activities are a part of the SCA as it currently exists.
