[MR] 4th Peerage

I would disagree with this, in that it was several of those Provosts and fencers who first welcomed me to the SCA, and it was the fencers who first got me interested in playing at all, (even though I haven't picked up an epee since I found out how much mess I can make with a pen.)

It was Lord Olivier de Bayonne (Olsk then), who spoke to me first when I wandered by an SCA practice, and made me feel like I could play too. He put me in armor and let me wave a piece of metal at him. So I went to the local meeting because that was fun.

It was Lord Vyvyan who spent an hour with me at my first Ymir teaching me how to stick the pointy end at the other person.

It was Baron Gaston and Baroness Rosalind who taught me at practices in Elvegast, as well as Lord Percy, and Mistress Kate.

The fencing community at large has such amazing garb and wonderful appearance that it always makes me pause and stare wistfully when Mistress Belphoebe, Mistress Kate, or Lord Percy go wandering by.

This is not even acknowledging the very large number of fencers, and provosts who I consider good friends, and would mourn the absence of.

You might not think you would be missed, but you would be, at least by me. If it hadn't been for the fencing community stepping up to welcome me and say hello, I wouldn't be here now. For whatever that's worth. :)

Lady Livia Zanna,

Dean of the Pages Academy,

Pursuivant Extraordinaire (Didn't know that, Mistress Rhi, did ya!)

Companion of the Pearl

Combat archer and authorized Heavy Fighter

Apprentice to the long-suffering Maestra Lucia.
