[MR] I'll Probably Regret This Later

Lord Gorm,

I think we all agree that we'd rather not contemplate this matter at events
where we come to escape. But the facts remain that we are most likely to
catch folks at events, as that is where we gather. Each Peer I approached at
University expressed both a distaste of the job at hand, and an appreciation
that I helped make the task easier.

Per Princess Esa's recent letter:
"The petitions have been distributed to the e-list, they have been mailed or
handed out to individuals who have requested them, etc. EVERY Peer has been
asked to take the time to complete the petition, regardless of if they
choose the option to agree, disagree, or have no opinion and return the
petition to His Highness and I as the BOD has requested."

While a 30% response rate on pollings may be acceptable, Their Highnesses
have asked to have 100% participation in this petition to the BOD. I assure
you I'd rather have spent my time at University learning and visiting with
friends, but I know from past experience that folks are more likely to
respond when the ability to do to is made easier. I tried to be as discreet
as possible, while still accomplishing the task I set myself.

If you had a question the day of, or even afterward, you should have asked.
There might not have been full disclosure, but I assure you that you would
not have been dismissed, and hopefully some of your concerns might have been
put to rest.

Thank you,
Genevieve
