> Upon reflection you just might have a point. While I was travelling incognito using the Christmas season as a cover to check into certain disturbing rumors that had come to my ears regarding actions by the "Northerners", it soon became apparent that "Northern" agents knew I was there. (Incidentally, have you noticed the similarity in the the words Yank-IE and Stierbach-IE). I believe an attempt might have been made on me by northern agents. Luckily, my squire Balin insisted at the last minute that he take the lead carriage instead of me when we went to lunch on Christmas eve. Probable Northern provocateurs attempted to ram the lead carriage in our convoy by running a plainly marked red signal and without even slowing down. They moved thru the cross roads a great speed not even slowing. Only the lighting fast reflexes born of years of my training resulted in Balin, who was at the reins of the lead carriage, avoiding the Northerners. They, of course, disappeared into the wild

I did however learn that the rumors of the recent large amounts of snow suffered here in the Barony being due to weather manipulation by bureaucrats in Storvik's NOAA organization, at the direction of Stierbach, were untrue. All in all it is good to be back home in the warmer climes of the south. Hey, also, what have youall been feeding our Phoenix while I was gone? Does she look liike she's put on weight to youall?

Your Excellency,
It is with heavy heart that I learn that you have chosen to contest with
us those things which clearly belong to Stierbach. Having fought at your
side this last year under the banner we have both served, The
Principality Company of Sojourners, I had looked forward to doing so
again. We hoped to bring three Drachenwald Viscounts and our allies to
your aid. Unfortunately you have made this impossible, for I will be
supporting my Baron and Baroness in their righteous suit.
I regret that you faced chance danger within our Barony recently.
Perhaps if you had not been incognito we could have treated you more
fittingly. Rest assured, esteemed Cousin, that we have no desire to hurt
you, only to get you to see the error of denying Stierbach her rightful
possessions.
I remain
Your Respectful (and hopefully temporary) Adversary,
Cian
