Greetings!

For those of you unable to attend Coronation, I would like to announce the
winners of the Tempore Atlantia held there. Competition was fierce,
especially given that we had the most entries for the pre-1000 time period
I've seen in several years. Every entry was worth viewing in depth but we
can only award prizes to a few.

Best in Show - Ceallach of Stierbach with his fine body of work of six
bronze pieces.
Best Short Form Documentation - Countess Adelicia of Cumbria with a
reproduction necklace made of glass.
Best Spun, Warped or Twisted Fiber Item - Evelynne Merrymet with her
naalbound viking hat made with hand-spun yarn.

I would like to take a moment also to thank all of the many judges who
stepped up and took time out of their day to evaluate the entries. This can
be a daunting task and I am grateful to all of you who take up the torch and
help light the way for your fellow artisans. Remember, you do not have to
have an arts award to be a judge. So long as you have sufficient knowledge
of the subject matter and the ability to write a fair evaluation, you are
qualified. We are always happy to give on-the-job training to any
prospective evaluator. *grin* Volunteers are also welcome in other
administrative capacities and we love the company!

If you would like to sponsor a competition at a future Tempore, please
contact this office three months in advance to work out the details. You do
not need to be an expert in the field you wish to sponsor. However, we do
ask that you provide a prize.

The featured time period for Fall Crown Tourney will be 1000-1250. I hope
to see as fine a turnout from our talented artisans and diligent volunteers.

In service,
Iseulte of the Red Cliffs
