The names that are alos listed as non-gerderized appear to be mostly names of biblical origin that are gender neutral names and are therefore used for both sexes.

Looking at the stuff that I'm finding on it, my opinion is that it 
ppears to mean a "straight" transliteration of a Biblical name.  A lot 
f names from the Bible aren't pronounced in English the way they are in 
ebrew (nevermind that occasionally Hebrew does funny stuff with their 
ames like Uzziah being short for Azariah).  An example is that our name 
eremiah is in Hebrew more like Yirem-yahu.  Doesn't exactly have the 
ame ring.  Isaiah is Ysha'yahu.  Bit of a mouthful for English 
peakers.  Look at some of the non-gerderized biblical names that are on 
hese lists: Baal-gad (honestly, don't name your kids this if you plan 
o love them), Beth-gader, Beth-haccerem, Ephes-dammim, etc.  They're 
ll "straight" transliterations (s, ts, sh, z, j, i, and y are always 
nteresting in translation).
