As an addendum to that idea, you can also mark the surcoat in such a way
that it is immediately apparent that the wearer is a new guest. Then all
experienced members of the region will know to take that extra moment to
explain things. I would suggest a blazon of the local group front and
back, with golden keys on the sleeves, but that is just a suggestion.
