A better question would be who are ALL the Warlords of Atlantia. We've
got a war
coming up so who are the people we need to look for on the field
(regional,
baronial and unit warlords). Who's going to field at Gulf Wars?

Caer Mear is celebrating its thirtieth birthday this
year, and we are holding an event to acknowledge this
very special occasion!
Please come out and wear your finest red and blue garb
to share in the spirit of the day. The Cook's Guild
of Caer Mear will prepare a delectable feast, the cost
of which is included as a part of the site fee so that
all who preregister for the event may partake in the
evening festivities. Please note there is no
difference in price at the door, but feast will not be
included if you do not preregister.
Activities for the day include an Arts and Sciences
open display. There will also be a history display
set up for all to see. If you have items for the
display relating to Caer Mear and its history, please
bring them out to share with all.
The Kingdom MOL has planned an MOL practicum to help
train up new MOLs, therefore there will be a variety
of different types of tournament rounds for both
armored and rapier disciplines, to include single and
double eliminations, round robins, and Bedford Points
Tournaments. This is also an excellent chance for
newer fighters to come out and experience a wide
variety of different tourney styles. Her Excellency,
Baroness Katerina is hosting a ladies gallery upon the
field. The ladies shall recognize a fighter from each
discipline who most impresses them throughout the day.
Please come and share in our joy, fight at our sides,
and feast at our tables as we celebrate this
remarkable milestone.
Warm regards,
Melisent
Autocrat

Greetings unto the Tavern,
I wanted to remind all that there will be a novice tourney at KASF this
year. This tourney is for artisans working in an area for less than one
year. It is open to both youth and adult and I want to encourage youth
participation to help build your experience and confidence. For
artisans holding grant level or greater, you are eligible to participate
if the entry is a new area of A&S for you. You should expect to get
meaningful and helpful comment on your entries. For youth 14 and under,
I am asking that you put age on your entry form so that the judges can
make their comments appropriate. This should be a great opportunity for
all and I look forward to seeing what you are doing.
Judging categories and forms will be consistent with those used for the
pentathlon and youth Triathlon. I recommend that you also provide some
note paper to obtain commentary from the myriad of those who, while not
judging, may have a high degree of knowledge to assist you.
In Service
Khadir bar Yosef
The rules and judging forms for the Pentathlon can be found here at the
bottom of the page:
http://moas.atlantia.sca.org/forms.htm
These are word documents.
Further information, including the category list, can be found here:
http://kasf.atlantia.sca.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2
4&Itemid=35
I encourage you to to review the judging forms and rules to help you
better prepare your entry for this competition.
So that the judges will have time to review your work, anyone planning
on entering a Research Paper (from Category V), needs to forward their
paper to me by February 23rd.

Duke Badouin, Dux, Commander of the Atlantian Northern Army (of
Darkness) / K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Soldier) Army aka Grand Army of
the Potomac (GAP) is blowing the Great War Horn of the North, calling
all within the Northern Regions to his side, Artisans, Servants and
Warriors, those of high rank or low, all will have a place by his side
as he wields his Army to crush Atlantia?s foes. Be those foes in the
barbaric Southern climates along the Gulf or the more civilized lands
to the North known as Pennsic they will be laid low by the forces he
will bring to the field. Baronial Cohorts and Separate Warbands should
begin training/planning for these spring and summer offensives.
To that end, we are organizing the Northern Army. If you have ever
wanted to be a part of something greater than yourself, this is the
time to do so. We will have a place for everyone, both on and off the
field to support this great project. I have a staff to fill as his
Praefectus Castrorum (Executive Officer), this staff will consist of a
Recruitment Cell (bodies for all levels of the army from fighters of
all sorts to support folk), Training Cell (getting us ready to take the
field; planning practices, tactics, techniques and procedures),
Logistics Cell (Keeping us going on the field and preparing for war
supply wise) and Morale Cell (read Social/Party). There will be a
Princepales in charge of each cell (and cool roman names for each cell
also). Commands we need to fill are the Siege Coordinator, we
mighthave one but I do not know who it is. Gregor von Leipzig is our
Archery Primus.
We will have three Liaisons to assist in the Organization of the
different regions of the North.
Sir Tascius, Tribunus Angusticlavus: Northern Cluster: Highland
Foorde, Bright Hills, Lochmere, Wulfshaven, Sir Tascius will also most
be our Mercenary Liason
Sir Theron,Tribunus Angusticlavus: Central Cluster: Dun Carraig,
Storvik, Spiaggia Levantina, Blackspear
Baron Max, Tribunus Angusticlavus Southern Cluster: Ponte Alto, Roxbury
Mill, Stierbach , Consortium.
I would like to talk to anyone at the Ponte Alto Baronial Investiture
for any interested parties after the fighting is finished, or feel free
to send me an email. Please cross post to each of the Northern
Baronies listed above. At the very least I will take names to discuss
and with his Grace. I am sure his Grace has his own ideas for staff as
well, I will merely be presenting him with options.
Short Term Goals- Gulf Wars under one Primus Pilus (commander), mid
Termi Kings Assessment, Long Term is Pennsic. We will be scheduling
both inter baronial practices and Northern Army Practices, Hopefully we
will also get some work against the Central and Southern Atlantian
Army?s as well.
We have a yahoo group at GOPCom-subscribe at yahoogroups.com, if you are a
current Baronial Coronet, Baronial Commander or Warband Leader Please
join, same if you are interested in being a part of the staff or
helping the Army.
I remain,
Sir Guy, Praefectus Castrorum of the Great Northern Army of Darkness
and servant of his Grace, Badouin, Dux
"Knighthood Is Only The Beginning."
