[MR] Teenager abuse at Pennsic

One (or a few) bad apple(s) spoiling the bunch is a universal problem, not one of just the teens, however, in light of this thread I will limit my response to that forum.

Providing teens and young adults with a "place" to be at Pennsic or any event will provide a safe environment for the kids that WANT to follow the rules and want to have a safe place to be.  It will also provide a place to avoid by all means for those wishing to sneer at authority.  

This matter has come up a few times in different forms and it seems (in my eyes) to come back to the need to get these kids involved rather than leaving them to their own devices.  Yes kids want time to be themselves and do as they wish and that is never ever going to change, however, I think more dedication to the local pages academy and perhaps some input here from those kids would help.

I know several people that were "raised" in the SCA.  How did you do it???

Parents, have your teen read this thread and post their ideas for how to include the teen community.
