And so might a tip jar at the waterbearers' table.  I for one, as a primary beneficiary of the waterbearers' efforts, would be more than willing to toss in a little gelt to assist them.

That, of course, is complicated by the fact that I usually don't carry money when I'm in armour, but that's another tale.
