A handcrafted wooden cradle from an 18th century
pattern (documented, based on earlier designs) but
instead of rocker bottom, we put four "bun" feet on it
for stability. Rockers can be added. The cradle is
pretty large and solid, weighs about 50 lbs or so,
built to be durable and sturdy - not easily portable,
but I guess you could use it for "period" camping if
you don't have to haul it far. It also has a wooden
hood and a small heart cutout on in the headboard.
Large enough for a mid-sized toddler to sleep in.
Both our children used it as babies and until recently
it was used to store dolls and stuffed animals, but is
still in excellent condition. Pictures can be
provided to anyone interested. Maple wood, light oak
coloration with hand rubbed, non-toxic beeswax finish.
Asking $100.00 Located in Caer Mear (Central
Virginia) and can be delivered to fall University.
