Subject: [Atlantia_AnS] A&S at Marinus's Baronial Investiture

(Please cross-post to any appropriate lists.)

                                           Barony of Marinus

                                           Arts and Sciences

                                                    at the

                                              Investiture of

William and Sarah Beth, Sixth Baron and Baroness of Marinus

                                 November 10, AS XLII  (2007)

Greetings unto the Artisans of Atlantia!   Marinus will soon invest a new Baron and Baroness to lead our Barony By The Sea.  Please help us welcome William and Sarah Beth by showing our skill in the Arts and Sciences with diverse displays and competitions.

The History of Marinus will be the subject of a display.  Be it artifacts, pictures, stories, or whatever you have that can exhibit the illustrious past of the Barony By The Sea.

As we do call ourselves the Barony By The Sea, it is appropriate to include something with a Nautical theme.   Some categories for this competition will be:  things to use or wear on a ship, seafood dishes or shipboard foods,  fish or other nautical themed items.   Be creative!  (Documentation optional – this is for fun!)

For those whose skill is better shown in person, space will be available inside and out for an Artisans Row.  Please let us know your requirements so we may accommodate you appropriately.  An area will also be set aside for displays of diverse arts.

Our new Baroness will be inviting others to join her in a Gallery to observe the Tournament.  The combatants are encouraged to present as noble an appearance on and off the field as they might, as this may well be one of the qualities which the ladies will assess.

For more information or to request space in the Artisans Row, please contact:

Baroness Catherine de Bellefleur, MoAS, Barony of Marinus
