Greeting all!

According to the Atlantian Great Book of Law which can be found at
http://law.atlantia.sca.org/Law.html :
"No laws may be enacted, changed, or repealed without the approval of the
Crown (or the Regent in the absence of the Crown) after consultation with
the Curia Regis. Any action or circumstance not addressed or expressly
forbidden by law shall be interpreted to be allowed or disallowed at the
will of the Crown."

And according to SCA corpora which can be found at
http://sca.org/docs/govdocs.pdf :
"F. Kingdom and Principality Law
1. The Crown or the Coronet may make and amend such laws of their realm as
they deem
necessary, with the restriction that principality laws are subject to the
approval of the Crown. (Note that law applies to all persons participating
in Society activities within the borders of the realm, without regard to
subject status or individual fealty.)
2. Law must be kept current, and all changes thereto must be proclaimed at a
Society event and published in the kingdom newsletter. No provision of law
shall be in effect, nor shall the subjects of a realm be responsible for
such provision, until such proclamation and publication have taken place."

Being that we do play in a monarchist society, it appears that there is
nothing that *requires* the Crown to notify Their subjects of proposed law
changes, only when the law is actually changed. I know that law changes are
published in the Acorn. If there is someone who knows better, please
correct me (but be gentle please! I'm just trying to understand this as
best as I can from reading the law).
