Thank you, Lady Livia. I can only hope to try to live up to your wonderful
example. You've left some big shoes to fill! Thanks also to everyone at
Crown this weekend, particularly Their Majesties, Master Tristan, and the
very talented Lady Daniela.
I look forward to serving the Kingdom over the next year and getting to know
many of people within the scribal community!
Best wishes,
Aneira

Greetings to the Populace,
The Scrivener Royal competition was held, and the two entrants, Lady
Daniella Schwarzhaupt (please forgive my brutal spelling) and Lady Gwerfyl
verch Aneirin, (Formerly known as Lady Aneira Gwilt) both had beautiful
displays, demonstrated skill with quill and brush, and showed themselves to
be worthy and exceptional.
I had thought at first to see which of the two displays the populace admired
more, but both artists received an overwhelming amount of admiration of
their art, so that option was closed. Lady Daniella's clever use of a
Golden Dolphin in a fishbowl with a mischeivous cat considering it most
carefully delighted everyone who saw it (one young lady looked at it, and
then ran outside to go get her father, to show him the kitty!), and Lady
Aneira's beautiful cadels and calligraphy inspired awe, and a great many
wistful compliments for her skill. Then I thought to test the scribes with
a request for day-of calligraphy. And AGAIN, both of their samples were
beautiful, adept, and skillful. I was exceedingly relieved that this
decision was not mine.
As their Majesties drew near to consider the work displayed by both
competitors, they too were delighted at the sterling quality of those vying
for the honor of serving them by Royal appointment, and dismayed at the
difficulty of choice.
After a great deal of deliberation and agonizing debate, in which all the
merits of each were carefully considered, Lady Gwerfyl verch Anerin was
chosen by their Majesties, with advice from both Signet and Scrivener Royal,
to stand as the Scrivener Royal of Atlantia!
Vivats for Lady Gwerfyl, the new Scrivener!
In Service,
Lady Livia Zanna,
