Since making my announcement yesterday, it has become clear to me that
some people may not be certain what Historic Martial Arts entail.

HMA is an A&S form that is still fairly new to the kingdom. It is
designed for the non-competitive research of combat manuals from the
SCA period for the purpose of better understanding our martial
heritage. It is heavily research and demonstration based, with the goal
of interpeting and "looking like" the manuals of period combat masters.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

In Service,

Signor Dante di Pietro
Deputy MoAS for Historic Martial Arts
