[MR] Youth Retainer and Youth Escort Programs

Greetings to the parents and guardians of the youth of Atlantia,



At Her Majesties request, we have started a Youth Retainer for the day 
program and a Youth Court Escort program. This is open to any youth age 9 
and up.



If they choose to act as a retainer to the Queen, they will have the 
opportunity to serve the Queen directly as a retainer, working in 
conjunction with adults for set shifts of 1-1.5 hours during the day.  If 
they choose to participate in the Court Escort program, they will be 
providing escorts to those who need them during royal court. Regardless of 
which area of participation they choose, Youth Retainers will wear a special 
baldric while participating, identifying them as a representative of the 
Queen.  Parents of youth who wish to participate MUST sign a participation 
permission slip for their young scadian.



I will be heading up Northern events and Lady Brianna O'Duinn will be 
heading the Southern events for this reign. Events that we will be at are 
the following:

June 22-24 Wastelands 2007 - Lady Brianna

         29-1 The Crescent Guard's Atlantian Games - Baroness Sunniva

July 6-8 Assessment - Baroness Sunniva

      13-15 Storvik Novice Tourney - Baroness Sunniva

       27-12 Pennsic War XXXVI - Baroness Sunniva (find me at Atlantian 
Royal)

August 24-26 Sacred Stone's Baronial Birthday - Lady Brianna

       31-3 Fall Coronation - Baroness Sunniva



This is a great opportunity for the youth of our Kingdom to serve while 
learning. Also, if your child is in the Pages Academy they can earn 
Chivalry/History credits from the Academy, for their participation. Hope to 
see many of you and your children at these events.
