Greetings to the Tavern,
There have been several posts debating the importance (or lack
thereof) of having a device registered with the College of Heralds.
Let's not lose sight of the original request, which was "how can we
encourage more people to register". While this discussion is
enlightening, I'm not seeing a whole heck of a lot of ideas that
could help this lady out. If we have fun things to inspire people, it
might make heraldry more appealing to them. Like the practice of
adding activities to encourage a particular weapons style or time
period. None of these ideas (or the ones I suggested earlier) are
especially restrictive, nor is anyone required to participate.
They're simply ideas intended to spark the desire to register arms,
as requested.
Molly
PS- Did I mention Challenge of the Heart is this weekend? With an
Artisan's Row? AND a war practice on Sunday? Oh, OK...just checking.
