You do realize that if you've been around the A&S community for any length
of time, the judges are going to know you anyway, right? I almost always
have at least a passing acquaintance with the artisans whose work I judge
because I try to keep up with who is doing work in my fields of interest.
We are almost always short of judges at large A&S competitions. If I'm
running a competition, I'm going to draw from the judges who are available
and willing, and trust in their integrity and honor.
