Nope, not quite, not yet at least...

Some Wal-mart stores (noone's saying exactly how many) will be
discontinuing fabrics in favor of a "party and craft" section, still
carrying sewing notions, but no fabrics.  Allegedly these are
primarily urban locations, but I'm not sure I believe this.

Some others (again, noone's saying exactly how many) will be
discontinuing bolt cutting fabric services, but will have pre-cuts
available.

Some others (again, noone's saying exactly how many) will be
continuing to offer full service fabrics, including cutting.

Presumably, if Wal-mart determines there's more profit in the "party
and craft" section, they'll be converting more stores over to that
over the next few years.

Check with your local store, or find a better alternative that doesn't
abuse it's workers and suppliers, sell substandard materials, and
undercut the business community it moves into.
