[MR] KASF-A word from HRM Ragnarr

I have come very late to this discussion, having been out for surgery this
past week (doing superbly!!) however, this particular response caught my
eye.
I have to say that I wish more people were familiar with out event flyers
are generated in this Kingdom. If you have had the opportunity to use the
new automated system you would know that it is the system that places the
martial activity information first, not the event steward or those
associated with the event.
So, Lady Marsali, you may want to take that into consideration when making
your decision.
But despite that, I have to find your approach to this situation to be a
negative way to deal with it rather than a positive one. If you don't
believe in martial activities at the event, then don't participate. Don't
allow them to take up one second of your day. Go to the event and spend the
entire day viewing the amazing works of art our Kingdom produces, leaving
tokens, talking to people about their art, learning from them, put out a few
pieces of your own and teach others. Maybe even take a notebook with you to
jot down notes in on people you want to remember, and art that particularly
caught your eye, then go home to your A&S orders and discuss those people to
see if others have noticed their work, write letters to the King and Queen
of those that particularly impressed you with their knowledge, teaching, and
art. And if you see a fighter wander through the halls - maybe take the
time to show them some of the things you found wondrous and give them a
reason to spend some time learning about another aspect of the SCA.
