I certainly agree with the slight alterations of names
and places if there are any concerns, and we all know
there will be.

I used to play a game when I was younger that was
completely based on the DragonLance series of books.
They simply renamed the places and heros to other
names but kept them similar. Those of us who had
actually read the novels knew exactly where we were at
all times. It was wonderful to walk through the lands
we had read about for so many years.

As also stated, World of Warcraft has a great many
"real life" references as well. There is even a
tribute statue in one of its zones to a real life
person that is quite beautiful. It's a very common
thing in the gaming world.

As a side note, I have grown bored of WoW myself and
am currently looking for something else to spend my
time with. (when I do have it) Thanks for posting
this, I'll check out NWN now if they have something
like this in it.
