Did you ever play the original Never Winter Nights on AOL?

That was my first online gaming experience. I was part of the original
online service called Quantum Link which eventually became AOL. I remember
being excited to beta test a new dungeons and dragons game online called
Never Winter Nights. That was my first experience being online with hundreds
of people playing a game. Those were fond memories.

The Never Winter Nights that is out in retail now is not the same game. Its
mostly a polished single player game where you can create modules for and
sometimes play multiplayer with other people but only up to a limited amount
of people.

The idea of a SCA Atlantia world created in this enviornment sounds
interesting, especially if the game involved various tournaments and events
that we normally have throughout the year.
