Wow. I wouldn't have expected a discussion on background checks for
youth services to turn into a discourse on concealed handgun
permits...

Perhaps "snuffed" isn't the word you're looking for - again, in light
of the new direction this discussion has taken. I'm just sayin'.

Erich - Virginia permits don't expire any more. See the following:

And, to stay on topic - no parent should leave the care of their child
with any person they haven't vetted to their own satisfaction.
Whether any policy the SCA writes gives that satisfaction will be left
up to parents. If the corporation enacts any policy that is too
restrictive, I think we'll start seeing "non-official" babysitting
co-operatives forming a lot more.
