What is a drag is spending one's day judging (usually somewhere way
far away from the central activities) while everyone else is out
socializing and having fun with their friends and participating in
those other activities.
Why don't those who want to participate in A&S competitions just all
judge one another. That gives everyone entering experience in judging
- creating a larger pool of judges and insight into what it takes to
judge and to write commentary, it provides more judges for the
competition and it lets those who are always recruited to judge to
actually enjoy the event in stead of being guilted into judging.
