I welcome the announcement from the Society. What could possibly be more
important than the safety of our children?
In order to ensure that the background checks are thorough, uniform, and
impartial, I suggest that we require those who will have contact with and
responsibility for children to acquire concealed carry permits. Even as a
decorated war veteran I was required to undergo psychological investigation
as well as testing for proficiency in the use of my weapon.
There are numerous ancillary benefits to this approach.Those who do watch
our children will be well equipped to defend the children from harm or
abduction. It will become much easier to maintain order during youth combat.
This will discourage people from "dumping" children, also. And of course,
there are a few parents and children who would benefit from.... well, that
would probably be wrong and shouldn't be discussed here.
