Please feel free to forward this missive to any appropriate list.
Greetings to all of the Great and Glorious Populace of the Kingdom of
Atlantia-
A few months ago I sent out a message that signaled my intent to put together
a book to pass on to the next Royal Bard. This book was to be full of the
stories, songs, poems, and praises of Atlantia. I want to take this opportunity
to thank all those who responded to this request. Since making that request
I have accumulated about twenty works from about 10 artisans. I appreciate
every single one of these works, but I know that there must be far more than
that roaming around amongst the talented and vocal populous of this fair Kingdom.
I am therefore re-broadcasting (Over the Heraldic Electronic networks) my
request; PLEASE contact me if you are willing to share works about the glory of
Atlantia. I have to date collected almost exclusively songs. This was not my
intent! I also seek poetry (I am thinking specifically about some excellent
poems I have heard from various artisans in praise of the past Kings and
Queens of Atlantia). I also seek stories (I am thinking specifically of a plethora
of No *&it there I was stories about past great kingdom and interkingdom
battles and events).
If you have such things to share with future generations of Royal Bards,
please contact me. If you know of such works and do not share them I shall be
forced to write evil songs about you, which I will include in this book.
My until recently-incredibly-brutal work schedule has loosened up a bit.
(Read as I now am getting 1 or 2 weekends off a month instead of 0 or 1), and
I intend to make it out to Celtic Cattle Raids in September, War of the Wings
in October, Le pas d'armes de l'Arbre d'or in November, and Unevent in
December. If you are going to be making it to any of those events and you have a
story you would like to share, find me. I will be bringing a hand-held recorder
with me and I would happily record the story, transcribe it to text form and
give you credit for the telling. Think of the power . . . think of the glory
. . . think of your name in lights. . . then forget all that and share your
story with me for posterity's sake.
There is no Finer Kingdom than Atlantia, and I am proud (and humbled) to
be it's Royal Bard. Please help me to document it's Glory and Nobility so
that future Bards (be they Royal or Otherwise) can have some of the wondrous past
within the palm of their hands.
As ever in service,
Dunstan LeHeryngmongere,
Royal Bard of Atlantia.
