The purpose of this list...

Perhaps it is a forum for discussing topics of interest to those who
practice our delightful and peculiar hobby, as Syr Justus has written,
or a place for airing the occasional frustration. I believe it is more
than that.

The Merry Rose is our perpetual apre-feast feasthall. Conversations
swirl, friends seek each other, gentlefolk lurk on the fringes watching
the interplay, and the occasional voice is raised in objection. Most
significantly, we are all here together.

If you don't like the subject of conversation, wander away. If you
don't like what someone says, talk to them or ignore them as the mood
takes you.

However, as always, have a care of what you say. The ether grants a
level of buffering that induces some to be bolder or more aggressive
than they would normally be. When you can't look into a person's eyes,
you can't read how your words are impacting her.

Therefore I propose the following actions...
If you are uninterested in the topic, use the delete button (even if
you have to use it a hundred times).

If you take offense with what another writes, use the delete button or
write privately to them and discuss what they wrote.

If you offend another, make it right (clarify, apologize, atone).

For those who have listened, I thank you for your attention. For those
who wandered off, see you around the hall.
