[MR] Dogs at events

I am a dog lover.  I am not really active right now because we are building a house and have no free weekends, but it is dismaying to me that the actions of some people now might jeopardize whether or not my dogs are welcomed at an event in the future.
   
  People need to take responsibility for their dogs...and the fact that a dogsitter might be expensive or unavailable is NOT a reason to bring them to an event.  You should only bring them if you are proud of themand if they are going to ADD to the experience for most people, not detract from it. 
   
  I love bringing my dogs with me to events because not only am I proud of them,  but also because they are great ice breakers.  People I dont even know will come up and question me about them. That is golden to someone like me who has been away from things for a while and there are so many new, unknown faces.  and so many who are missing....
